Our School Project

The "Life in Loreto Abbey" Project is a sponsored school project undertaken by Ms. Hogan and Ms. O Hanlon's 5th Class in 2024. Our aim is to document and preserve the history of the old convent in Rathfarnham, Dublin. This is done through interviews with the Loreto nuns, capturing their stories for posterity. Our 5th Class is passionate about this majestic building and the religious women who lived there and we are committed to capturing a part of the history. Follow our progress on our blog.

Preserving History

Majestic building

and the life within her walls

Our aim was capturing the stories of the Loreto nuns who lived in the convent. We believe that their stories are an essential part of the history of the Loreto Abbey and we are committed to preserving them for future generations.

Authenticity

Technology meets the past

We are committed to producing a user friendly blog for our community to enjoy. We enjoyed being part of a merger between technology and the past.

Local Community

Share the Loreto Legacy

Our class are very proud of our Loreto heritage and want to share some historical gems with the wider community. We need to share the long lasting legacy of these heroic women and bring their stories to life.
